My Favourite Fragrances

Hi Guys

So today I thought I'd share my favourite fragrances with you. I don't have a specific 'Summer' perfume or 'Winter' one. The smells I like, I like all year round. Yes some are a bit more summery than others but most of them, I love the smell because they hold a memory and as soon as I spray the perfume, that memory comes flooding back.

1. DKNY - MY NY - This was the first perfume my boyfriend bought for me so when I spray it, I think of him.

2. Roberto Cavalli - Roberto Cavalli - My mum bought me this perfume when I was feeling really down, very low on cash and just needed cheering up. So she took me shopping and bought me a Pandora Charm and this perfume. So when I spray it, I think of her. It also makes me think of a colleague who now works in a different office to me. (She wore it on a regular basis and we get on really well).

3. Marc Jacobs - Dot - Bought for me, by me. A shopping trip where I'd already spent too much but I really wanted it so I just bought the smaller version.

4. Coco Chanel - Mademoiselle - This is by far, my favourite perfume. I just love it. I call it my New York scent because my friend wore it the first time we went and I could smell it all day every day. So, of course, every time I smell this perfume, I think of New York. My parents have just been on holiday and very kindly brought me a bottle back from the airport.

5. Carolina Herrera - 212 VIP - My other favourite perfume! I must admit, I don't have any one particular memory for this one. It just makes me feel so good when I wear it. It has happy memories with it. My boyfriend also bought me a travel size version for my birthday so it goes almost everywhere with me now. :)

6. Jennifer Lopez - Love at First Glow - This is my 'Summer Scent' if I absolutely had to pick one. It's very light but a delicious smell. I had this bought for me for my 18th birthday and after I finished the bottle I couldn't find it anywhere. I was over the moon when I eventually found it in Savers of all places. At 27 I still love it now

7. Jennifer Lopez - Glow After Dark - My other New York scent. This is the perfume I was wearing when my friend was wearing Coco. Of course, I sprayed it in the morning and got a whiff of it every so often but I couldn't smell it all day like I could the Coco. I still love wearing this one on the odd occasion because it does, for a little while, send me straight back to New York. (I wish it was that easy to get back there!!)

8. DKNY - Love From New York - This was another holiday present from my parents a few years back. I've only had the one bottle as I don't wear it very often but I do keep going back to it. It's very fruity and light. Definitely wouldn't really suit a night out but does make a very nice 'day' perfume.

All eight of these are gorgeous perfumes. Yes, I have two particular favourites (4 & 5) but I LOVE them all.

You can't beat a good perfume. I feel like buying a new perfume is almost as good as buying a new pair of shoes. There are so many others I want to try and if money were no object I'd have hundreds of them. I do also love Lady Million by Paco Rabanne although sadly, I've never owned it. I'm sure I'll treat myself to a bottle one day. I did once make a tester last a very long time! Haha.

That's all from me for now. If there are any perfumes you'd like to recommend, please feel free to leave some comments below.

Mascara LOVE

I've fallen in love with a new Mascara. It's AMAZING. I've always been really lucky to have quite long lashes anyway but this mascara is definitely one of the best I've used. It's not expensive and it's in most high street make up selling shops... It's Revlons new 'Lash Potion'.

I really can't recommend this enough. It's made my lashes even longer than they already were and it's goes on effortlessly. It looks lovely and doesn't flake off.
**eye close up alert** Haha. Just to prove how good they look. They above picture is with no make up other than the mascara. Below is with full make up.

I got the mascara in 001 Blackest Black.

Obviously, being called Lash Potion you do expect that it is claiming to increase the length of your lashes. I can honestly say that this really does work. It's the best mascara I've had for a very long time. Definitely happy with this one!!!

Mini Boots Haul

Hey guys, I've not written for a while. It's been a little bit manic in the life of Emsky recently.

I had quite a few points on my Boots Advantage Card so I've nipped in today to get a few bits.
I decided to get the free magazine this time as well and it's really good. (Especially for a freebie) Will definitely be getting it again next month.

I also noticed a deal that was on with Oral B Toothpaste. If you buy the 3D White Luxe you get a free Mac Factor Gel Shine Nail Polish in a choice of three colours. I decided to go for the 'Twinkling Pink' one. It looks to be a gorgeous colour. If I do my nails before I post this I'll add a picture on to show you.

I also decided to get the Johnsons Baby Oil Gel with Camomile thanks to a blog post a friend did last night. I've got it to use on my legs and arms as they can get quite dry. I'll let you know how I get on with that. (It's very greasy but it should soak in nicely overnight)

I've totally run out this morning of Dry Shampoo so got the Batiste Tropical one. The can is HUGE and was on offer!

Last but not least I decided to get the new Revlon Lash Potion Mascara on Blackest Black. I've seen it in a lot of blogs videos recently and I love mascara so had to give it a go. (Again, I'll let you know how I get on).

Below is a couple of pictures of the nail polish - I've given myself a Mani/Pedi and I can't really say that I'm 100% impressed. It just seems a bit gloopy thats all. Overall its a gorgeous colour and doesn't need a second coat or a top coat. I'll definitely use it again but I'm not sure if I'd buy the full size version. (Sorry Max Factor!)

I love the fact that technically all of this stuff was free as I used my points. Boots definitely still has the best points card going!

I'll be back soon
