Mascara LOVE

I've fallen in love with a new Mascara. It's AMAZING. I've always been really lucky to have quite long lashes anyway but this mascara is definitely one of the best I've used. It's not expensive and it's in most high street make up selling shops... It's Revlons new 'Lash Potion'.

I really can't recommend this enough. It's made my lashes even longer than they already were and it's goes on effortlessly. It looks lovely and doesn't flake off.
**eye close up alert** Haha. Just to prove how good they look. They above picture is with no make up other than the mascara. Below is with full make up.

I got the mascara in 001 Blackest Black.

Obviously, being called Lash Potion you do expect that it is claiming to increase the length of your lashes. I can honestly say that this really does work. It's the best mascara I've had for a very long time. Definitely happy with this one!!!

Mini Boots Haul

Hey guys, I've not written for a while. It's been a little bit manic in the life of Emsky recently.

I had quite a few points on my Boots Advantage Card so I've nipped in today to get a few bits.
I decided to get the free magazine this time as well and it's really good. (Especially for a freebie) Will definitely be getting it again next month.

I also noticed a deal that was on with Oral B Toothpaste. If you buy the 3D White Luxe you get a free Mac Factor Gel Shine Nail Polish in a choice of three colours. I decided to go for the 'Twinkling Pink' one. It looks to be a gorgeous colour. If I do my nails before I post this I'll add a picture on to show you.

I also decided to get the Johnsons Baby Oil Gel with Camomile thanks to a blog post a friend did last night. I've got it to use on my legs and arms as they can get quite dry. I'll let you know how I get on with that. (It's very greasy but it should soak in nicely overnight)

I've totally run out this morning of Dry Shampoo so got the Batiste Tropical one. The can is HUGE and was on offer!

Last but not least I decided to get the new Revlon Lash Potion Mascara on Blackest Black. I've seen it in a lot of blogs videos recently and I love mascara so had to give it a go. (Again, I'll let you know how I get on).

Below is a couple of pictures of the nail polish - I've given myself a Mani/Pedi and I can't really say that I'm 100% impressed. It just seems a bit gloopy thats all. Overall its a gorgeous colour and doesn't need a second coat or a top coat. I'll definitely use it again but I'm not sure if I'd buy the full size version. (Sorry Max Factor!)

I love the fact that technically all of this stuff was free as I used my points. Boots definitely still has the best points card going!

I'll be back soon

Caudalie Paris Product Review

Caudalie Paris

I'm absolutely obsessed with the smell of Caudalie products. I decided to treat myself to this travel set and it's one of the best things I've bought this year. It comes in a gorgeous bag that can be used for holding make-up etc when you go travelling and there are five fabulous products to chose from.

They all smell incredible and they're all perfect products that you would use on a regular basis.
1. Lip Conditioner
2. Hand & Nail Cream
3. Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet
4. Beauty Elixir
5. Gentle Cleansing Milk

This lip balm is never too far away from me at the moment. For some reason I've got really chapped lips in the corners of my mouth so I'm constantly using this to keep them moisturised. It smells amazing and seems to be doing a good job. Will definitely continue using it.

I can't really say enough about the smell of Caudalie products. It's just amazing. This hand cream is gorgeous. It definitely works wonders on your hands and so many people comment on the smell when I use it as well. Many people have asked who's 'squirted perfume'. It's not overpowering at all, it's just a lovely scent.

This moisturiser is lovely. It seems to be doing a good job. You really don't need a lot to cover your face. It soaks in really well, again, smells fabulous and it has made my face feel really soft. I use this after the cleansing milk (below).

***Princess Product Alert***

Love it!! I can't think of anything else really to say about this product. Just go buy it, use it and fall in love with it. I use it any time of the day or night. Under or over make-up. Its amazing. I'm so pleased I had this recommended to me. This is now my second bottle. The first hasn't run out yet, I just wanted another one so I have one at home and one in my handbag at all times.

Beautiful cleansing milk. My skin feels incredible after using this. I generally use make up wipes first and then wash my face properly using this. It does a fab job at taking off my make-up and my skin has never felt better. Make sure to follow with the Sorbet (above!)

That's all for today folks. Have a great week.

Healthy nails - Finally! (Thanks to OPI)

I have always really tried to look after my nails. I don't bite them at all - although I am guilty of biting the skin around them and (if they're big enough) I pick at my cuticles too.
I have always been very proud of my nails. I'm not the most artistic person but I do like to try new designs & colours.
However, just recently my nails have been appalling. I can only put it down to being poorly quite a lot recently and my nails have suffered too. I've have several colds, flu's and virus' in the last 6-10 months and my body has really known about it.

I'm finally all better and in turn, my nails are finally on the mend too. I've tried to be patient with them and have been using OPI Nail envy once every couple of weeks. They're still not perfect and they're different lengths as a couple of them broke right on the skin but they look soooo much better than they did.

Today I've started with OPI Nail envy as a base coat and finished with it as a top coat also. I swear by this stuff. I've been using it for years. So much so that this latest bottle was actually a much appreciated Christmas Present.

I've painted all of my nails with two coats of Carrie Underwood for Nicole by OPI (Color me Country) You can see in the pictures it's a hot pink but it's kind of subtle for a strong colour (if that makes sense). It's a hot pink but not like a Barbie pink. It's very wearable and I usually get compliments when I wear this colour.

I've finished the look by adding Models Own in Northern Lights to both my ring fingers. This is gorgeous pink hued glitter that still shows through the OPI polish underneath. You can see the finished look below.

Compared to what I can do, these nails are nothing special, but you have no idea how good it feels to be able to wear proper nail polish again and have my nails look good.

That's all for today folks. Hope you all enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend and have a good week ahead :) Ciao for now xxx

**Body Shop Haul & Product Review**

I've been waiting a while to do this one. I've got some great things and after using some of them, I'm almost certain they'll appear in a 'favourites' blog shortly.
Below you'll see several photos of my new products.

1. Drops of Youth - Bouncy Sleeping Mask
2. Vitamin E - Eyes Cube
3. Vitamin E - Overnight Serum
4. Wonderblur
5. Fuji Green Tea - Bath Tea and Diffuser

I find the Drops of Youth Mask to be slightly strange but I LOVE using it. The texture of it is really odd but once it's on your skin it feels lovely and not too cakey. After cleansing and moisturising (on an evening) put it all over your your face and leave it on overnight to soak in. (If you have expensive pillowcases I recommend using a towel.)
It does say to use it every night but this just isn't really possible. I'm sorry but if my boyfriend is coming over, I aint slathering this all over my face before bed!! Haha.
I tend to use it when I know I'm definitely getting a shower the next morning. That way, It's definitely washed off and my face is ready to be covered in make up.

The Vitamin E Eyes Cube is my new Go-to product. I absolutely adore this product. Just use it under your eyes morning and night. (Not over make up please ladies). The play on words for 'Ice Cube' is the perfect name for it. It's so cooling and refreshing. It helps wake me up on a morning, which is a hard task. It claims to help get rid of dark circles etc. I've not been using it long enough to know how well it works at doing that, but so far, I'm impressed.

The overnight Serum is very good. I think I can safely say I prefer this to the Mask above. Purely because, once this is on, you can't tell its even there. It feels nice, smells fabulous and you wake up with gorgeous skin that's ready for the day ahead and all the make up you're about to apply.

Speaking of make up - This is another fantastic new Body Shop product, I honestly have fallen in love with this. I picked it up in the shop and then put it back and walked away. A few minutes later I went back to it. I couldn't make my mind up at all. I'm so glad I made the purchase.

When I squeezed it onto my hand for the first time my initial reaction was 'Oh god, what have I bought?' But, once I rubbed it into my face and started applying my make up over the top of it I was converted. I've used it every day since.
Your skin is made to feel silky soft. It doesn't provide coverage but I think really you could just apply and go if you feel confident enough to do so.
It's definitely a new favourite. I can't brag about this enough.

Now this, I am dying to try. Sadly, I'm more of a shower girl and haven't yet had time to have a nice relaxing 'tea' bath but I'll certainly be making time at some point this week.

I've been told that you place the tea inside the diffuser and hang the diffuser over your tap and let the water run through it. It creates a 'bubble bath' without the bubbles apparently. It's had a lot of good reviews and the smell is amazing. I'm hoping to try this tomorrow night. If I love it, It will also appear in a favourites blog. :)

I wasn't always a massive fan of Body Shop but they've definitely got a lot better recently with much better products and so many different ranges. It's not all about the White Musk and Strawberry smellies now girls.

As you can tell, the Wonderblur is my favourite product. I applied it this morning at about 7.30am and at 10.15pm my skin still feels amazing. The face powder I applied may have worn off, but the Wonderblur is definitely still there, working its magic.

Thanks Body Shop for some really terrific products.

Don't forget guys, you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram

Urban Decay - Naked Selection : Review

URBAN DECAY REVIEW OF 'NAKED' PRODUCTS

I only have these four products so far from the 'Naked' Collection but they're all fantastic. I've had the Naked 2 pallet for quite a while now and the eye shadows are lasting forever. These two pallets are the only ones I tend to use now. They blend really well and the colours match together brilliantly.

The palette itself is a nice clean shape and fairly easy to carry around / pack for going away.
It looks good and it stays perfectly closed so the eye shadows don't leak everywhere!

Inside you get 12 gorgeous colours. A couple of them are matt but most of them have a shimmer. They all blend perfectly together and the darker ones can be used as an eye liner if you fancied.

Naked 3 is similar in the sense that they're gorgeous colours that all blend well. (what else would you expect?) These colours though are more of a pinky hue. They're stunning. I think I prefer this pallet to the Naked 2.
I should also point out that the brushes are really nice to use as well. You don't need any other eye shadow brush in your make up kit. They're so easy to use and clean.

Naked 'On the run' is fantastic. I've heard mixed reviews on this one really but I thought I'd give it a go. On paper it's just so handy. Mascara, Eye liner, Lip gloss, bronzer, blusher, eye shadows and highlighter all on one. It saves so much room in your bag when going away for a night or two.
The colours of the eye shadows aren't overly exciting but they would definitely go with any outfit. The Perversion Mascara is good. I have found that it does flake off a bit towards the end of the day so it's not the best one I've used but it's still good. Love the eye liner! The lip gloss is nice too. Probably not the best thing to have on your lips if you're wanting a kiss at any point ;-) It's a bit sticky! However, the colour is awesome and it really sets off the rest of your look.

I am in two minds about this Face Powder. Overall, I like it and I'll definitely be using it until it runs out. However, once it runs out, will I buy it again? I'm not 100% I would. It's a very good powder and it does last all day and provide a matt coverage. I'm just not totally sure about it. I'll possibly buy a different one just to try something new, but I might go back to this one. It comes in a very cute pouch that's handy for storing jewellery by the way.

***

I love Urban Decay, especially the Eye Shadows. They might be a bit pricey but I bought mine over a couple of years, not all at the same time. They're definitely worth the investment because they last forever. Since buying Naked 2 & 3 I can honestly say I've not felt the need to buy any other eye shadow at all.
