Urban Decay - Naked Selection : Review

URBAN DECAY REVIEW OF 'NAKED' PRODUCTS

I only have these four products so far from the 'Naked' Collection but they're all fantastic. I've had the Naked 2 pallet for quite a while now and the eye shadows are lasting forever. These two pallets are the only ones I tend to use now. They blend really well and the colours match together brilliantly.

The palette itself is a nice clean shape and fairly easy to carry around / pack for going away.
It looks good and it stays perfectly closed so the eye shadows don't leak everywhere!

Inside you get 12 gorgeous colours. A couple of them are matt but most of them have a shimmer. They all blend perfectly together and the darker ones can be used as an eye liner if you fancied.

Naked 3 is similar in the sense that they're gorgeous colours that all blend well. (what else would you expect?) These colours though are more of a pinky hue. They're stunning. I think I prefer this pallet to the Naked 2.
I should also point out that the brushes are really nice to use as well. You don't need any other eye shadow brush in your make up kit. They're so easy to use and clean.

Naked 'On the run' is fantastic. I've heard mixed reviews on this one really but I thought I'd give it a go. On paper it's just so handy. Mascara, Eye liner, Lip gloss, bronzer, blusher, eye shadows and highlighter all on one. It saves so much room in your bag when going away for a night or two.
The colours of the eye shadows aren't overly exciting but they would definitely go with any outfit. The Perversion Mascara is good. I have found that it does flake off a bit towards the end of the day so it's not the best one I've used but it's still good. Love the eye liner! The lip gloss is nice too. Probably not the best thing to have on your lips if you're wanting a kiss at any point ;-) It's a bit sticky! However, the colour is awesome and it really sets off the rest of your look.

I am in two minds about this Face Powder. Overall, I like it and I'll definitely be using it until it runs out. However, once it runs out, will I buy it again? I'm not 100% I would. It's a very good powder and it does last all day and provide a matt coverage. I'm just not totally sure about it. I'll possibly buy a different one just to try something new, but I might go back to this one. It comes in a very cute pouch that's handy for storing jewellery by the way.

***

I love Urban Decay, especially the Eye Shadows. They might be a bit pricey but I bought mine over a couple of years, not all at the same time. They're definitely worth the investment because they last forever. Since buying Naked 2 & 3 I can honestly say I've not felt the need to buy any other eye shadow at all.

Tropic Skincare Review

Sorry, sorry. I promised this review a while back but I decided I needed to be 100% sure about it before I did a review.

I've got to say, overall, I LOVE these products. I've got quite a few of them. Skincare, lipsticks, lip gloss, lip liner. This review is just about the Skincare Products.

You can buy all of the above products separately or in a box altogether. I chose to buy them all in the box as it works out a lot cheaper. The box is £79 for 6 products, a headband & a polishing cloth.
You use the cleanser without water at first. Just rub it into your face and it dissolves your make up. Then use the cloth (wet) to wipe the product off.
Next, use the toner. Either spray directly onto your face and then use a cotton pad to wipe it off or spray onto a cotton pad and just wipe your face with it. It feels so refreshing, especially on a morning.
The Eye refresh is the same - so refreshing on a morning. Lovely to use. Feel under your eye and find the bone. Don't use the product any closer to your eye than that. It works a treat.
The oil is gorgeous. The smell is incredible and it doesn't leave you feeling greasy at all. I've used it on my face and I've even used it on scratches/scars that I've got. I just love it. A little goes a really long way. you don't need to use a lot at all. I can tell that it will last me absolutely ages.
The face scrub is brilliant. Use it once or twice a week with warm water. Just massage into your face and follow with the moisturiser. Your skin will feel so soft/smooth.
The moisturiser is the Skin Revive you can see in the photo. Again, I must say that a little goes a long way. 1 pump is plenty for your face.

The smell of all of these products is fantastic. You feel like you're having a mini facial every time you use it. It's a luxury product without the luxury price tag.

Below is the Body Love Buttercream. Again, an amazing smell and a fantastic product. The tub is 300ml and will last forever. I've never been one for using a full body cream after a bath or shower and I don't know that I ever will be. However, I've been using this on a night on my arms. You can't see them, but I do have dry patches on the tops of my arms and after just 4 nights (so far) of using this Buttercream, I can already tell a difference. I keep it by my bed to remind me use it every evening. I think I'll continue to use it as it's so simple & not at all greasy.

Overall, I genuinely love these products. I'll definitely buy them again and I've been recommending them to all my friends and family.
Give it a go, you'll see that it's not just me raving about it.

If you have any questions or want me to review anything else, please comment below.

Thank you

**BOOTS HAUL**

Yes, I have finally done a haul. I know it be much easier to do this in a video, but hey, I'd rather write :)

I got a few things I needed and a few things I didn't, but wanted them anyway. A couple of things have been recommended and most of them I've never tried before.
I took these pictures quickly as I took them out of the bag and my cat kept getting in the way so I apologize for the quality of some of them.

Lets get started...

I bought this on a recommendation. It's Soap & Glory Bright Here Bright Now Instant Radiance Energy Boost Balm. You use it like a moisturizer, underneath your foundation/cc cream/powder (whichever you use). I'm really looking forward to using this. It smells amazing and felt lovely when I tried it on my hand. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Again, these are a recommendation. I needed a new shampoo as I'm getting a bit bored of using Herbal Essence every time. These are Dove Pure Care, Dry Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. Again, I'll let you know how I get on. You tend to know straight away if a shampoo is wrong for your hair.

These were a little bit of a whim. I've heard of the 'Yes to' brand but no actually used anything. I needed some new face wipes so thought I'd give them a go. These are the Yes to Blueberries cleansing facial wipes (with apple and lemon peel).

The next thing on my list of things I needed was hairspray. I love Elnett. I've always preferred it to any other hairspray. Shock horror - they've brought out a new one and I had to try it. This is Elnett Satin Extra Strength with Argan Oil

Argan oil is all the rage at the minute. They're even putting it into hairbrushes now. I did need a new one so I thought I'd try this. Lee Stafford Argan Oil Large Paddle Brush. Hopefully this will do the job I need it to. I have very frizzy hair so I hope it helps.

Again, this one I did need. I ran out of my other this morning. It's a new smell but I've used Batiste before and I know it works. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Pretty & Opulent Oriental.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I needed a new brush to apply my CC cream or foundation. I've heard that the Stippling Brushes are the new foundation brush so why not give it a try. It will be my 'everyday' brush.

Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect CC Cream. This was another recommendation. I went for the shade Ivory (31) and I'm hoping to use this everyday, instead of foundation. I'll have to let you know how I get on with this as I've never used it before.

Last but not least, I needed a new eyebrow pencil. I was looking for a pencil and a brow gel but they didn't have any gel at Boots so I opted for this instead. L'Oreal Brow Artist Shaper in Blonde. One side the the pencil and the other side is a Fix & Finish Wax.

Ciao for now - Let me know in the comments bar below if there is anything in particular you'd like me to review.
Thanks

First Aid Beauty Review

Good Evening Beauty Lovers

Tonight I am going to give you my honest opinion of the First Aid Beauty Products.

I bought all of these products at the same time. Some were in a pack, one was a free gift and others were bought separately. I have recently sold two of the properties on ebay, one needs throwing away, one is okay every so often and two are AMAZING.

FACE CLEANSER : This is the product that I think needs throwing away. I'm really disappointed with this. I have it in my shower and I have been using it every so often but the smell is awful. It smells like it has gone off. It's an ok product (ignoring the smell). It seems fine on my skin, but overall, I can honestly say, I'd never buy this again.

DUAL REPAIR POWER SERUM : This was a free gift because I spent over a certain amount. I'm sure it's lovely but I never actually opened it, I just sold it on ebay as it's for skin much older than mine.

DETOX EYE ROLLER : Love this product! It really works and it certainly wakes you up on a morning. Remembering to use it is another matter, but overall, I really rate this and would definitely buy it again.

TRIPLE REMEDY EYE CREAM : Again, I LOVE this. It was recommended several times by Beauty Blogger; Fleur De Force on her videos. I totally agree. It's so nice on your skin and it does what it says on the tin. 100% recommend this and would totally buy it again. Use every morning underneath make up or on it's on. (Please don't use right underneath the eye, it goes along the bone under your eye. If you use product too close to your eye, it will eventually build up inside your tear duct and have nowhere to go - Not a nice thought!)

ULTRA REPAIR CREAM : Hmm... This wasn't bad, but I have sooo many face moisturizers and this wasn't the best. Therefore, it was another product I've since sold on ebay. It seemed okay on my skin, it certainly didn't harm it. It just wasn't for me.

FACIAL RADIANCE PADS ; These are good. Not overly exciting and for the money, not something you would use every night. Overall though I really like these and will continue to use them.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of First Aid Beauty, but it's certainly not the worst product I've used either. My favorites are the eye products that I will continue to use... not a fan of the face products.

I will soon be doing a review on Tropic Skincare - Definitely a must read as I can promise, It will be a fantastic review.

The Best Bath EVER!!!

Basically, I've had a very rubbish and stressful day, so I needed to relax and just enjoy being at home on my own. So, as many girls would, I decided to run a bath. I'm not a massive fan of baths. I normally much prefer a nice long shower.

This bath was different. This time, I went the whole hog and made it as relaxing as possible.

I also had a large glass of Rose wine to top off the whole thing :)

As you can see from the Uploads, I used the L'Occitane Lavender Foaming Bath and had the White Company Cassis Candle and turned the lights off.

I have now just carried on the Spa experience by using the amazing Cowshed Body Lotion.

I also used Youtube to play some very relaxing music. (link below)

TRY IT... I can guarantee that it works :)

Review of L'occitane Products

L'occitane has already got a good reputation. I don't need to tell you how popular it is.
I decided to treat myself to the Hair Mask and the New Years Resolution Box.
I've used the hair mask before and yes, at £22 it's flippin' expensive but it's worth every penny. I love it. I've used it twice since I bought it and my hair smells amazing afterwards. It also feels silkier and healthier.

As you can see, the picture also includes Shampoo & Conditioner. Again, it smells amazing and it's really helping my hair. I've used expensive shampoos before and all they've done is try out my hair. This particular shampoo & conditioner doesn't do that at all. I enjoy using it. Washing my hair has become a very fun thing to do all of a sudden! Haha

The Shower Oil is good. I like it, but I don't love it. It's a very strange texture. It's an oil that transforms into a shower gel once it hits the water. A little definitely doesn't go a long way with this. It still smells amazing as do all the products and I will continue to use it, but I don't think I'd ever buy the full size version.

The two small pots at the front are the Divine Cream & the Precious Cream. I haven't yet opened the Precious one (the blue pot) so I can't review that one, but the Divine Cream (yellow pot) is really nice. Again, I don't think I'm in love with it and at such an expensive price for a full size tub (£72) I won't be buying it. I've used it twice so far and it's been gentle on my face. I haven't noticed any difference yet, but after just 2 uses, I wouldn't expect to. The cream is quite thick and in this case a little does go a long way. I'll definitely use up the whole pot.

Last but definitely not least is the body milk. Jasmine and Bergamote Perfumed Body Milk. I LOVE
THIS STUFF. The smell is incredible, the full size price is £16.00 for 175ml or you can buy the 50ml for just £5.50. My skin feels amazing after using it. I will definitely be buying more once it's run out. In fact - I'm gonna go use it right now :) (There is also a perfume, candle, shower gel and soap in the same scent. I definitely want the perfume but at £49.00 that will have to wait for a bit!)
