Review of My Little Box - January

Hi Guys

The first thing I have to point out is that my January box has made an appearance much sooner than my December box. I should have received that by now but as yet, it hasn't arrived. I ordered it at the end of December and the lady I've emailed at My Little Box has assured me it is on its way.

I'm not quite as impressed as I hoped to be with the January box. However, it is still very good and I look forward to receiving both Decembers and February's.

The Beauty products that we receive in January's 'Energy Box' are a Nails Inc nail polish called Tate. It's a gorgeous deep red and I will certainly try it out. However, I am more of an OPI girl myself.
We also get a Talika moisturizer I've only used this once so far and I did like it. I need to remember to put it by my sink so that I'll actually use it. (I'm currently using the Benefit Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion with SPF 15. I noticed that the Talika one doesn't appear to have SPF in it, but in the UK, in the middle of winter - who cares! Haha.

The My Little Beauty product that we get this time is a facial mist. I have tried this and I do like it. The slight problem I have hear, is that I've just purchased the Caudalie face mist and I love it. The My Little Beauty one will most certainly still be used though. It smells amazing and certainly seems to do what it says on the tin.

We also receive the My Little Word Magazine which I read while I was in the bath. it's very small and compact but did make for very good reading. It's a good size to throw in your bag and has some good hints/tips in there. I love to do my nails and there is even a nail tutorial in it.

There is a calendar included in the box as well. Most people will have got one of these already. I know I have. It's full of fun quotes though and even a Sudoku puzzle.

The gym bag is a very good idea and a good part of the box, but not the best I've seen. It does appear to be very cheaply made but it does also seem to hold quite a lot. I certainly won't be chucking it out anyway. It will do nicely for an overnight bag or a Spa day. (I don't tend to go to the gym though!)

Overall, I'm still very excited to receive more boxes and compare them all. I was a tiny bit disappointed with this particular box, but I can't wait for others to arrive. I've also signed up to 'Glossy Box' which is on its way and my second Pink Parcel will be coming soon too.
I will do a review of both of those when I get them.

Hope you all have a great day and I'll see you again soon with another review.

DIY Lip Scrub

It's so unbelievably simple and cheap.
If your lips are chapped, sore or just in need of a treat, chances are, you need a lip scrub. You can buy them easily enough, but if you need a quick fix it really is this simple...
Vaseline, Sugar and Tissue.

All I did was get a bit of tissue and scoop out some Vaseline then dip it in the sugar. Just rub over your lips for about thirty seconds and then enjoy licking it off.

Gorgeous smooth lips and a sugary treat

Simple!

Where to find me on Twitter and Facebook

Hi Guys

It's a small blog today.

Just wanted to let you know that hopefully, very soon I'll be uploading some vlogs as well as blogs. I can't wait to start trying it out. I've seen many videos on Youtube that have inspired me so will have to be 150% happy with it before I can put it online. As soon as I start though, there will be a link added to my blog for you to find it.
I've got a few bits and pieces coming in the post so it will probably be reviews of those.

Also, to let you know, my twitter name so you can follow me on there: @emsky1329 or follow the link - https://twitter.com/emsky1329
I'm only on 194 followers so far so it would be awesome to get a few more. I tend to tweet about my blog or about my crazy cat, Lila.
You can also find me on facebook just under my full name, Emma Victoria Parkinson or follow this link - https://www.facebook.com/emsky1329
Obviously, that is my personal profile so any strange people will be blocked should I feel the need to do so.

Seeing as I'm on, I may as well tell you what I've ordered. They are all on recommendations so I never used any of these products before.
1. Essie Wedding Collection
2. Essie Spring Collection
3. My Little Box (and I'm waiting for both December and January to arrive as I ordered it late)
4. Pink Parcel (box number 2 for me. The review of my fist box is below)
5. Benefit 'They're real, eyeliner' and the 'Boi-ing concealer'
6. Alpha-H Liquid Gold (I get acne sometimes and it's been highly recommended.
7. Caudalie Beauty Elixier
8. Last but not least, I've ordered a few bits from the Fleur de Force website which I am very excited about.

I do seem to have gone a tad crazy, but it's been bought with money I've saved in my little money box and I felt I deserved a splurge as I've not bought anything for myself for a while.

I think that's it for tonight.

Ciao for now

Sometimes a girl just needs her friends

The last couple of weeks have been a bit rubbish. My boyfriend is on the other side of the world so we've gone through Christmas and New Year without each other. It's not the end of the world, but it's not been fun either. (For me anyway. He's having a whale of a time in Oz haha).

Instead of feeling lonely and sorry for myself every day, I've been doing as much as I can to keep myself occupied. However, on the odd occasion, especially when I've not heard from him for a couple days, I have been getting a bit down.

My friends have been fab. Texting, calling, getting me out of the house. Girly nights, cinema nights etc. it's been good. They've also been great when I've been gushing over how much I love and miss my boyfriend. (I don't normally do that too much, but missing him has turned me into a total softy).

Anyway... this isn't about me and my guy... this is about me and my friends.

You've been fabulous and I love you all. Friendship always comes first. A girl always needs her friends, regardless of how strong she might be.

I've been feeling a bit rubbish over work, money etc. The same things that bother other people around this time of year. But I've been positive thinking as much as possible (believe me, it doesn't happen every day) and I feel so much better. One friend in particular has helped me and I can't thank her enough. Strangely enough, I never imagined we'd actually be friends!!! We got off on completely the wrong foot when we met and now, she's been the one to ask how I am and get me out of the house etc the most. You can't ask for more than that. :)

I hope she realises how grateful I am. Sometimes, it really is the small things that can make such a big difference.
